Becoming Part of the Tribe

I was reading a rather interesting book (post for another day),

and it said that boys can learn a lot from being with older men,

who can teach them and bring them into the "tribe" .

By working with older men,

they can learn that a "Real Man" knows

how to serve, work hard, and get dirty.

And they form a bond.

The boys each got to spend a day out with Grandpa T.

Getting lunch and special treats,

Planting flowers for Grandma,

and learning how to play marbles!
