Salsa

While chatting on the phone with my Sister,
I mentioned I was making Salsa
to go with dinner.
I think she was shocked
out of her stretchy maternity pants.
"You know how to make Salsa?!"
she exclaimed.
{sigh}
I thought she was an adamant
follower of my blog.
(obviously didn't read this post)
I mentioned to her
on several occasions
that I was making salsa for
one thing or another.
All season long.
(Whispering)
[just between you and me],
SHE apparently wasn't paying attention!
Either that,
or maybe she's hard of hearing,
or can't read,
or luny
Anyhoo,
To appease the one Great with Child,
I told her I would give her my recipe
Fresh Salsa
{I don't have measurements, I just do it to taste/quanity}
Tomatoes, chopped (I use Roma)
Chopped Gr. Pepper (for mild)
(You can use a hot pepper, if you want more kick)
chopped Onion,
(red or green), I use whatever I have
1/2-1 tsp. Sugar
chopped Cilantro
Salt and Pepper to taste
Lime Juice
Make ahead of time and refrigerate,
so the flavors can blend.
Experiment with what you have,
No Wrong or Right
with Salsa.
Also try adding black beans, corn,
or fresh, chopped avocado

Really...truly...I was shocked out my stretchy maternity pants. It was a sight you didn't want to see.

I remember that post, but I guess it didn't register that it was "salsa" you had made out of your tomatoes, so give me a break.
