that we brought home as a

Black Friday Freebie. Thank You, JCPenny.

Black Friday

Yes, WE Did.

At 3:30 We Arose,

At 4:00 We Arrived,

Shopped,

and

Made it back HOME

and in {Bed} by 6:00.

No Longer a Black Friday Virgin.

The Big Feast

to help My Sister J,

who just had a baby,

Thanksgiving Feast

was left to

Why I LOVE

Going {HOME} for T-Day

1. The Drive. Being stuck in the late Wednesday Afternoon Northbound Traffic while listening to Christmas music as the city gives way to farmlands, Stopping Half Way to re-fuel, get snacks and trade drivers. And seeing who can make it across the State Border first (which actually comes down to the art of distraction and having really long arms)
   
2. The Arrival. Being greeted with lots of tight hugs, the smell of dinner cooking, and seeing tables set up end to end from the dining room through the living room in preparation of the next day's feast. And we all stay up too late visiting and eating, eating and visiting.


3. Accommodations. I LOVE sleeping in My old room. With All MY Own Little Family sleeping around Me.


4. Awful Cell Phone Reception. Not sure my Husband likes that. I Do.


5. Breakfast is Always a Feast of Sweetness, before the Feast
   
6. Too Many Cooks in the Kitchen. And Loving it.


7. Snitching at the Turkey. And the Pies. And Everything else.
   
8. My kids playing with Their Oodles of Cousins. Just like I did with My Cousins.


9. Having the same thing for Dinner that I had for Lunch.


10. Making plans to get up early and Go Shopping with the GALs
    
11. Deciding to Sleep In, instead. [Because WE Stayed up ALL Night Talking]


12. Pie for Breakfast


13. Family. The More the Merrier.


14. The Trip back is RICH with Christmas Anticipation!
    
15. Knowing we'll be back for Next Year's Thanksgiving, too, Cause that's Our deal- Thanksgiving with Mine, Christmas with His. EVERY YEAR.

The Younger Timmons Branch

and spend the evening

putting up their tree.

Always the First and Worst Task:

Lights.

Then Making Those Branches

LOVELY,

[Amidst Spontaneous Outbursts of Christmas Favorites],

[Having a "Bust Your Move" Showdown],

[Cleverly Singing "The 12 Days of Sonic"]

Then We passed around the

Ice Cream and Apple Pie,

And it nearly looked like

a Picture Print by

Currier and Ives.

Mission Status: ACCOMPLISHED

to My Sis-in-Law

for making me

Her B-day is in October, too,

but she knew how much

her Speciality Chocolate Cake,

So she made it Especially

for {Our} Party!

I Admire

He was asked to be a Guest Speaker at a College Business Class.

He Never Studied Business in College.

He Doesn't Have a Business Degree.

But, He IS a

Self Made,

Successful

Business Owner.

Multiple Times Over.

Because He Believes in Himself

and

Taking a Risk.

Our Kids were getting a little Greedy with the

I WANT Everything for Christmas-itis,

So we took them to a HOMELESS Shelter.

It had an IMPACT.

{We ARE so Lucky}

Apparently

Someone thinks
I need to add a little
"Umph"
to My Decorating

Observations

Of the MOM:

1. The kids are {Shockingly Enthusiastic} about TAPE.
They use it for Everything!
Got Bad Guys? Bind Them with TAPE.
Pillow falling out of Bed? Strap it in. With TAPE.
Toys need Mending? TAPE will hold it.
Brother bothering You? TAPE His mouth shut.
TAPE. A Sticky Dream Come True.

2. Why use the Boring Ol' Floor to get around, when You can
Crawl on the Counter,
Scramble across the Bed, or
March on the Furniture?

And Last, but NOT Least

My {Toilet Plunging Skillz} are
OVERWHELMINGLY Close to Perfection.

Just so you know.
