Nachos

For Chalet,

Who asked for a Recipe:

The Family Nacho Platter

{Or At Least how WE Do it, Anyway!}

I Make a Taco Meat Mixture of Sorts,

using Ground Beef,

1 Can of Black Beans, rinsed & drained

1 Can of Kidney Beans, rinsed & drained

and a Pkg of Taco Seasoning- to Taste

I Spread a Cookie Sheet with Tortilla Chips,

Spread the Taco Meat Over the Top,

and Sprinkle with Shredded Cheese.

Then I Broil it for 1-2 Minutes.

After that,

We Divide it among the Troops,

and Let Each Top their Own.

Tomatoes, Lettuce, Olives, Sour Cream, Salsa,

Guacamole, Refried Beans, Nacho Cheese,

and Jalapenos

(Pretty Much Whatever You Yearn For!)

And

*Wah-La*

Martin Luther King, Jr.

{A Hero of Mine}
Civil Disobedience Defined:
“An individual who breaks a law that conscience tells him is unjust, and who willingly accepts the penalty of imprisonment in order to arouse the conscience of the community over its injustice, is in reality expressing the highest respect for the law.”
*
"Nonviolence Means
Avoiding Not Only External Physical Violence,
but also Internal Violence of Spirit.
You not only Refuse to Shoot a Man,
but You Refuse to Hate Him.”
*
"I Have Decided
to Stick with LOVE.
HATE is Too Great a Burden
to Bear.”
*
"I Have a Dream
that One Day, My Children will Live in a Nation,
Where They will Not Be Judged by
the Color of Their SKIN,
But by
the Content of Their CHARACTER.”

Finished Reading

My Bondage and My Freedom

by Frederick Douglass.

In the 1800's

He Escaped from Slavery,

and

Became a Very Popular Public Speaker

Against Slavery.

Because He Could READ,

and WRITE,

and SPEAK,

So Well,

(His Vocabulary is Stunning)

People Didn't Believe,

He had Ever Been a SLAVE.

So He Wrote Down His Story.

It's Fascinating What a Person Can Endure,

and How Much They Can Over Come.

Yo, Where's the Kitchen AT?

It's Stuck.
On My Broken Laptop.
I Was putting the Whole Thing Together,
[BEFORE Christmas, Acutally]
You Know,
Pictures of the Old Kitchen,
to show how Barfy It Was,
Then Throw It Against,
Pictures of the Dazzling New Kitchen,
To Make the New Do,
Look WAY Awesome,
When 3Yr. Old
Decides to Close My Laptop.
On top of A Book.
and Lay On it.
Monitor?
CRUNCH.
Pictures?
STUCK.
[Sob, Sob, Sob!]
WAH!
I Mean, Sure, I Have Pictures of the NEW Kitchen,
But What are THEY without Pictures of the OLD One?
[Sigh]
So, for Now, I'm on the SLOW Desktop,
Waiting for the Laptop-A-Rooni
to Get Fixed.
[Double Sigh]
