This was a Coffee Table I Got through the Classifieds. Found it Online, and Asked (Begged?) for it for Christmas.
These are what I used to Sand the Table. Its 60 Grit
After Sanding. Note: I Didn't take All the Finish off, Just Scratched it Enough to Give it some Gripping Power for the Paint. After Sanding, I always wipe things Off with a Wet Paper Towel.
Primed. I Used "High Hiding Primer" it was What I had on Hand
[I Had a Scratching and Priming Buddy]
This is What I used to Sand Between my coats of Paint. Then wipe off with a Wet Paper Towel.
Two Coats of Paint. Sanding in Between Coats with the "Between Coats" Sanding block
Then, Before Doing My Final Tops Coats, (Glaze and Polycrylic) I sanded it with this, (and then Wiped it Down with wet paper Towel) It gives it a Smooooooth Finish.
This is My Tintable Glaze. This is What I use to put all the Dark Spots, and Details on My Table. It Comes Clear, Mine is Tinted to "Fired Earth" by Valspar.
For the Glaze:
Work in a Small Area,
I used a Foam Brush and Brush the Glaze on,
then took a wet paper towel and removed it-
keeping it darker where I wanted it darker,
and removing most of the glaze where I wanted it Lighter.
You can always add more, if You decide to later!
This is the Polycrylic, I always put a coat or two on at the End.
The Color that I used,
was Called
"Secluded Garden" by Valspar in Satin Finish.
Oh, and the Crystal Knobs.
LOVE the Crystal Knobs.
I Used the Same Steps that I used in
