Every time I take a break from running it always takes what I call run/walking to get back into it before I can really put on those miles without wanting to die at the end (or vomit).
I like to ease myself back into it by runnung as long as I can, and then walk to catch a breather. Then run, etc. And before you know it I can run the whole amount of mileage. So don't be ashames if you have to throw a walk or two in there.
As your newly appointed personal cheerleader, I say, "keep it up. You'll be signing up for 5Ks in no time. Go JerBabe!"
