{My 3rd and 4th Grader}
I was Strongly Encouraged NOT to:
Follow,
Hold Their Hand,
Kiss Their Wee Wittle Cheeks,
Take Pictures,
or
Lovingly Holler Out,
"I LOVE You, Sweetie Cakes!"
My Heart Sighs,
Why do They Have to Grow Up?

I live on the west coast, but have your kids really started school already in July? It seems so early to me. I love you back to school tradition though how fun!!!!

Yep, they've started school. The School here is Year Round, so they finished school and had three week break, and started a new year! But they get three week breaks during the school year, every 9 weeks. That's how the Year Round school works on a Rotating schedule. Thanks Ashley!
What a wonderful blog you have and beautiful family. I'm so glad you visited my blog. I use Blogger and don't think you get an email notification when I answer a comment so here it is. You asked: "How can we support the teacher's learning plan?" on Kinder & PreK for Parents & Teachers. Here is my answer. Hopefully, the teacher will have a newsletter updated weekly. At my school, we had on-line newsletters with the weekly curriculum and we sent home a printed copy of the newsletter too. Some teachers also include the district standards they are meeting (upper grades especially). The newsletter might give the parents a few sight words to help their children learn, the letter-of-the-week, and math concepts they are teaching. The second semester, we sent home books for the parents to share with their children with a few sight words or words with picture clues. The greatest way to help your child is to read nightly with them. I have a post today linking you to more suggestions on pre-reading skills. Check the backpack every night and you may be amazed at what you find. Teacher's are available to contact through email, phone or a conference should you have concerns. Thank you so much for visiting my blog.
