General Conference Weekend- DAY 2

Sunday morning I went downstairs and opened the blinds throughout the house,

then I went upstairs to get J up.

When I came back downstairs, I found this:

{looking for those sparkles}

Apparently, when they came downstairs and saw the beautiful sunshine streaming through the blinds and looking so "sparkling", they just HAD to clean the living room so it would sparkle, too.
When they were done, they stepped back to admire their fine dusting job,
and the room, indeed
sparkled

Then we scarfed down these:

GOOEY BUNS
{another Conference Tradition}
Place 20 frozen Rhodes Rolls
in a well greased bundt pan
Mix together:
1 small pkg. cook 'n serve vanilla pudding
1 cup brown sugar
and sprinkle it over the rolls
Then mix together:
1/2 cup melted butter
1 tsp. cinnamon
dash of nutmeg
and pour it over the rolls
I like to sprinkle with chopped pecans
Cover with a warm, wet dish towel and
let rise over night
Bake 350 for 30 min
If they start to get too brown while cooking
cover with foil during last 5-10 min
invert onto large platter

Okay, those are the best looking buns I have seen in a long time! I wonder if I can do that down here... Probably not with homemade rolls (I can't get the frozen kind). Oh well. Sounds like a great tradition and what great helpers you have!

Yes, my children are always just spontaneously "sparkling up" the house---I wish.

Gooey buns would probably make my buns exactly that--gooey. Good thing you've got such a tight bod for all the donuts and gooeyness that conference brings!

I have to include money to have any sparkle happen at my house :)

I've always used butterscotch pudding for our "Gooey Buns" but I will have to try vanilla next time! They are a tradition Christmas morning here!
