Apparently, what they heard was, " Freeze a smile on your face and act like a fruit cake!"
This year we went out on a limb, and planted a tiny garden. When I say tiny, I mean tiny. It went more like this: Ryan, " Honey, we should do a garden so the boys can play in the dirt. "
Jeralyn, "Where Sweet Lips?"
"Oh, how bout that lil' spot o' ground, where nothin' but weeds gro' , Ma Dear"
Then, we looked at each other, and said in unison, " If it grows, it grows, if not, it doesn't". Or, something to that effect, anyways. So, we made a tiny little bed, where we planted, about 6 corn stalks, a zucchini plant, and a tomato plant. We actually planted some pumpkins, too, but we haven't seen them, they don't write. Anyhoos, we don't do much watering, because the neighbor's sprinkler does a fine job getting it over the fence for us.
The tomato plant gave us two tomatoes, the corn got shredded by a hail storm, yet seems to be surviving, and all be, we do have a zucchini or two or twenty coming along all right.
