The Beginning of Many Neighborhood Movie Nights to Come
Have I mentioned that my twin sister
and her family moved in 3 doors down?
Now you know.

And our husbands worked together to make
many neighborhood movie nights come to pass
this summer.
And our kids manned the snow cone and cotton candy stations.

Movie Nights under the Moon.

Man Camp & Service Project

The Brother in Laws in our family,
decided to plan a Man Camp for all the sons and Dads.
They camped, did 4-wheeling, shooting,
told spooky stories around the fire and
even made matching Man Camp para cord bracelets.

They got soaked during the night,
but all in all, they had a great time
and plan to do it every year!

Meanwhile,
back at my mom's warm house,
with all the lady-folk,
we worked on making Christmas pillow cases
that will go with a Christmas Service Project
we are planning for December.
Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Marathon-ing

26.2 Miles
May 16, 2015
Drenched & Cold

I have THE most supportive Husband and Kids.
They make THE Best FAN Club a Girl could ever Hope for!

This marathon finish line came with lots of stress,
injury, prayer, worry, tears, and frustration.
8 weeks out from the big day,
I injured my left calf and for two weeks,
I hobbled on it.
When it finally felt well enough to run,
my right knee decides to give me the stink eye.
Between working on trying to get my mileage up,
and trying to rest my injuries,
I was a complete stressed, frustrated, injured basket-case.
Most the time, I didn't know whether to rest or run.
But I kept praying that I could make it to the start line,
feeling well enough to get to the finish.
And I did.

I was slow, and it took a loooooooonnng time to get it done.
But I was blessed to just enjoy my slow pace,
the beautiful, misty, rainy world around me,
and that I was protected enough by my hat and poncho
to not be super freezing, even though I was drenched.
I was blessed in many ways that day.

I LOVED seeing my family at the finish line,
and they wrapped me in warm, dry clothes, and lots of hugs.

And I think they make the best signs ever.

Lunch on the Lawn

Went to the boys' school this afternoon for
"Lunch on the Lawn"
But since it was pouring rain
it was "Lunch in the Classroom with your favorite Person!"
Or, at least, that's what I called it.

I got to spend time with each of them
in their classroom during lunch hour,
munching on lunch.

(and then we checked out early and ran for the hills)
(just kidding)
(we just ran to the car in the pouring, pouring rain)

Mother's Day

My Mother's Day was Absolutely Wonderful from top to bottom!

Breakfast in Bed:
The kids had made all sorts of projects, wrote letters,
and made drawings, paintings, and bookmarks!
And according to the descriptions,
the most common used word to describe me by my kids was:
NICE
And the 7 yr old said I was "Relaxful" to be around.
I'll take all of that!
They brought me a rose that they each had picked out at the store
(with Mr.'s help of course)
red, yellow, and pink.
Mr. had also put together a little video of him asking
the kids questions about me.
It made me laugh and cry.
Crying because as I watched it,
I just wanted them to stay little for ever.
I thought to myself-
"one day, I'm going to be missing my boys so much,
and will have to take this video out and watch it to get
my "fix" of them. "

I got lots of hugs, kisses and "I Love You"s.

When I went to clean up the kitchen,
thinking full well that I knew it would
need a clean up from the morning festivities,
Spouse and the boys all stopped me from cleaning up,
and said "You aren't suppose to lift a finger!"

As I got ready for church,
my 12 yr old made me a necklace to wear.
And the younger two made me necklaces at church, too!

After Church,
Mr. and my brother in law brought my sister and I together
and served us food they had prepared-
Sushi, pot stickers, and egg rolls!
After dinner,
we were escorted downstairs to a Mother's Day Dance!
They had decorated with lights, and streamers,
and balloons, and there was even a refreshment table set up!
Each of the Kids and our Husbands danced with us!
It was wonderful!
And?
At the end?
They made a victory tunnel for us moms (my sister and I) to run through!
Who-Weee!

I'm Lucky, I'm Blessed, I'm Loved, I'm Needed,
I'm a Mom.
And I have a Wonderful, wonderful Husband.
{My boys are my Greatest and Favorite Mother's Day Gifts}

Best. DAY. Ever.
