Going, Going, Gone.

(a-hem)

Our Summer Break

By the Numbers

3- the number of weeks our Summer Break was

21- the number of days JoMama and bunch were here

3 adults + 5 kids = the number of people in our house,

and that equals

6 the number of tomatoes from our garden, thus far

1 trip to the Drive-In Movie

(boys night out July 09)

4 slip'n slide adventures

1 night of

of candy at the family reunion

5- the number C turned on his

Star Wars Birthday

1 Painter on the Potty

2 Purple Dragon Belts

1 Lame-0 Volcano

4 trips to Cafe Rio

and 3 trips for

Ice Cream

Equals

(NOT ME, She's the OTHER one)

6 lbs that JoMama put on while at my house

(which is what her Dr. told her to do, I however, will not give numbers as to how much I gained eating cookies and ice cream and S'mores and Cafe Rio)

5 Monkeys parachuting off

my furniture

and

Munching Nachos

(Nacho Night July 09)

1 Light Saber Accident

(just kidding, the picture just turned out that way)

Imagine

Me & You

I Do.

I think about

You

Day and Night,

It's only right.

The Only One,

for

Me

is

You

and

You

for

Me

So Happy Together

[how'd you like those dusty photos?]

July 4th 2009

Every year for the

Fourth of July,

My Mom puts together a

4th of July Family Spectacular.

Complete with

Star-Spangled Invitations,

a Flag Ceremony,

and a Thrills & Skills Talent Portion.

So every summer,

we try to make it back to

{from the deck in back}

Small Hometown, USA

and we LOVE it!

******

And in between

hot dog roasts and a

dutch oven breakfast,

obstacle courses and

crafts,

and long before fireworks,

we do things like:

{our entry for the Children's Parade}

have Band Practice,

Slurp Popsicles Galore,

go on a treasure hunt,

line-up for

tractor rides, fresh produce,

and

Razzle-Dazzle cupcakes!

*

It takes a lot of planning,

energy, and willingness

to pull it off for

a group our size,

but we sure look forward

to it EVERY year!

Thanks Grandma & Grandpa P!

Oh Yah,

I forgot to add the part where my sisters

and I stayed up talking till 4AM,

and made

and then ate

Mississippi Mud Brownies

Not Once, But Twice

Yah, it was WONDERFUL!

An Update

I have a lot of things I wanted to "journal"

from the last few weeks,

so in an effort to stick to the facts,

here it goes:

B received a

Distinguished Cub Award

from his school, after working to complete

all the requirements,

Was thrilled to get to be in a parade,

and wasn't excited about the

Last Day of

Kindergarten

-

C thought it was fun to visit B at school,

loves to love on J,

have squirt gun fights,

and got some new shoes.

He insisted on wearing them,

as he ran faster and jumped higher.

When asked if he liked his shoes,

he said,

"No, I Don't like my shoes,

I LOVE them!!"

Then asked to wear them to bed.

-

J likes to lounge

in the laundry,

throw rocks in the mud,

get sticky,

and keep his brothers from snoring.

-

Being the mother of all boys,

and having been raised

with all girls,

Mom thought she would read

which she thoroughly enjoyed,

and learned a lot,

{June 27,2009}

is always excited for

Nacho Night

likes to squirt back,

found these in her garden

and will someday do a post

about how we spent our

Fourth of July!

-

Dad would love to spend more

time here,

could eat this all the time,

and loves a

good laugh
