For Memorial Day,
We have a Few of Traditions,
That we Typically Stick with;
Flag Ceremony.
This year, B Led us Through a Book
he had made a School,
Telling about the Pledge of Allegiance.
We Always Visit the Cemetery.
We DON'T Have any Kin
Who are Buried Round where We Live,
But We like to Purchase a Bundle of Flowers,
Divide it among the Boys,
Head out to the Cemetery,
and
Let them find Graves,
that Have No Flowers on
and They Can Leave a Flower for Them.
C Always looks for People
who have Served in the Armed Forces,
and B Always Looks for
Babies or Young Kids.
We Read a lot of Grave Stones,
and to be Honest,
Sometimes the Sentiments
Written on them,
Choke Me Up.
We Also Try to Clear the Grave Stone Off.
{Apparently, Blowing on it is the Preferred Method}.
And Then Among the Other Ins and Outs
of the Day,
We Like to Have a Lil'
Backyard BBQ.
Tonight's BBQ Was Followed by
Shooting Hoops,
a Rousing Game of Dodge Ball,
and Getting Our Patriotic Boogie On,

What a wonderful way to observe Memorial Day! You are good parents.
Would you do me a favorite? Next time you see Aunt Kathy, would you give her a big ole hug for me?
Thanks for making me look a little deeper than I usually do at Memorial Day. All those stones mean someone lost a special someone. Thank you for teaching the boys to respect greater than themselves.
The BBQ looks fantastic, too. Oh, so much fun!
